SPAIN: BENZEMA SCORES IN COMEBACK WIN

Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema continued his good form in the Spanish La Liga this season after he scored in the comeback victory over Sevilla. The La Liga leaders had to do it the hard way to secure a big win in the title race.

Sevilla took the lead through Rafa Mir on 12 minutes off the assist from Marcos Acuna and it took hosts Real Madrid twenty (20) minutes for them to find the equaliser through the in-form Karim Benzema. The goal from Benzema ensured that Real Madrid went into the break on level terms with their visitors.

Karim Benzema was able to maintain his lead at the top of the scoring chart as far as the top flight is concerned in Spain. With his goal, Vinicius was able to take his tally to nine La Liga goals.

Real Madrid recorded a significant win that took them four points clear of holders and city rivals Atletico Madrid in the La Liga title race. They started the weekend with a one-point lead over previous leaders Real Sociedad and a two-point advantage over Sevilla. In the end, Real Sociedad and Sevilla lost their respective games to give Real Madrid the chance to stretch their advantage from one point to four points.
