Benzema Satisfied With France Performance

The 2016 Euro’s qualifying matches have been taking place in these past few days and weeks with nations from all over the globe facing each other with hopes of advancing through the next stages of this international tournament. A number of friendly games are also being played as a way for managers to experiment with different combinations and formations of players for their respective teams.

France will be the hosts of the tournament which kicks off in 2 years and this means that they don’t have play matches like the rest of the nations in order to secure their qualifying spot, since they are the hosts they are automatically qualified. France has played a series of friendly matches so far against Spain and Serbia.

The French squad managed to claim a 1-0 victory against Spain and Karim Benzema did not hesitate in displaying his joy concerning their triumph against the team of Vicente del Bosque.

When the friendly match ended and France won, Benzema expressed his satisfaction about the victory as he told the media: “It’s good, it’s always nice to win against big teams, especially to do it with style, and we did it tonight. We went head to head with one of the best teams of the world, so it’s good for the French team and for our confidence. After the World Cup, we needed to start working again and play a big game. We work together, we’re a really good team and we just need to keep working.”

France would later go on to play Serbia in a game that finished in a 1-1 draw. Their next match is against Portugal as Karim Benzema will be playing against his Real Madrid teammate C.Ronaldo on October 11.

Besic Ready To Play In Premier League

Everton recently brought in defender Muhamed Besic from Hungarian outfit Ferencvaros for a fee believed to be in the region of £ 4 million. Upon his arrival, Besic has claimed that he is ready to play in the Premier League. The Bosnia international was one of the standout players in the national teams World Cup campaign. Even though Bosnia failed to reach the knockout stages of the World Cup, Besic was one of the players who caught the eye with his impressive performances. He was exceptionally good in the match against Argentina.

After keeping both Angel di Maria and Lionel Messi quiet for most of the 90 minutes, Besic says that he can do the job over the course of a season in the Premier League. Much will be expected from Besic despite the player being just 20 years old. This is because of Everton’s fifth-place finish last season, while they could have even secure a top four spot had it not been for some indifferent performances towards the end of the campaign. After recently signing Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea on a permanent contract, there is a buzz around Everton going into the new campaign.

The player has signed a five-year contract with the Merseyside club and will be hoping to start on a regular basis straightaway.

“I must be honest, it was not as difficult as I thought it would be. You see always these good players (on TV) but it was my first time that I’d played against good teams. I think I did a good job. It was a great experience to play against Messi and Angel Di Maria but I think I did my job well. Was I nervous beforehand? No. Normally two or three hours before I am but in the game I was not nervous,” said Besic.

BENZEMA HAILS RONALDO

Some weeks ago the Frenchman Karim Benzema announced to the media that the former player of Real Madrid, Ronaldo Nazario de Lima is one of the idols that Benzema has in his football career and even confessed that he watches videos of the Brazilian before coming into a match on some occasions.

During Real Madrid’s match against Villareal, Benzema managed on scoring twice and he reached the 104 goals mark which is a huge milestone for the French forward as he reached the same number of goals for Real Madrid as his idol, Ronaldo.

“To catch up such a player is astonishing, there’s nothing else to say,” Benzema told reporters after Saturday’s match, as reported by RTL.fr. For me, he’s the best player in the history of football along with Zizou Zinedine Zidane. I’m very proud.”

At some point in time it seemed rather hard to believe that Benzema would be mentioned along the same lines as the Brazilian retired player Ronaldo as the Frenchman was struggling to make his presence felt with the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo and Kaka some years ago.

Benzema was being overshadowed and even overlooked on moments when Real Madrid signed new players but despite all the players that arrived to the Spanish capital, some just couldn’t keep up with the rest of the squad but Benzema continued making his presence felt and now has become one of the top goal-scorers of the team along with C.Ronaldo.

The former player of Lyon, Benzema praised the work that Zinedine Zidane is doing with the club which has helped them maintain a spot at the top of La Liga as they continue fighting with Barcelona and Atletico Madrid.

“Zizou is working well with the whole team, but it’s true that he and I talk a lot each day.Zidane is like my big brother. He advises me and makes me work specifically in front of goal. It works. Zidane recommended that I move a lot to the near post against Villarreal and that’s how I scored my first goal.”

ARSENAL NEXT?

Each week, each day new rumors involving possible transfer of certain players to another clubs is created and developed with some of those seeming more believable or plausible than others, one that has been consistently on the mouth of everyone is Karin Benzema to Arsenal.

Arsenal has enjoyed one of their best starts of seasons ever in the Premier League with Olivier Giroud turning himself into an indispensable figure for the team of Arsene Wenger but  the question that emerges is, what happens if the Frenchman gets injured?

Arsene Wenger does not have someone at the same caliber as Giroud that can replace him if something was to go wrong with him at any point in the season. This is why Arsenal has been keeping close tabs on certain players that reinforce the team next year and Benzema is topping the list.

Karin Benzema is a regular starter for Real Madrid but that does not mean he is vital to the squad or to Carlo Ancelotti. The Spanish club are certainly able to cope against everything that is thrown at them even without Benzema in the team as the spotlight and the players that are becoming the heart and brain of the team are hands down C.Ronaldo and Gareth Bale.

Luis Suarez is going through a burst of success with Liverpool that has attracted the attention of a number of European clubs, but most recently Real Madrid. It is believed that Benzema is a scapegoat for Real Madrid in order to lure in Luis Suarez.

Benzema being offered to Arsenal as the Premier League club wants to have a back-up for Giroud meanwhile Real Madrid is hoping to create enough funds to sign the Uruguayan forward from Liverpool. Only time will tell if this actually happens or is nothing more than another rumor floating around.

SHEARER BACKS ARSENAL

Former Newcastle United striker Alan Shearer has said that the table leaders Arsenal can win the title this time if they managed to get Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema in the January transfer window. The club frantically tried to bring in a big name striker during the summer. They will include the likes of Gonzalo Higuain and Luis Suarez, but they managed to get only an attacking midfielder in the form of Mesut Ozil. Still, it is a signing that most clubs will be extremely happy to have at £ 42 million.

Due to the fact that they did not manage to sign striker, all the workload for this campaign has been put on the shoulders of Olivier Giroud. The Frenchman has so far responded with aplomb, but there is fear that an injury to the 26-year-old will be catastrophic for Arsenal. They need to strengthen in this position according to Alan Shearer, who won the league title with Blackburn. This is also the opinion of former Arsenal player Nigel Winterburn.

Arsenal even tried to bring in Demba Ba from Chelsea on a loan deal only for Mourinho to stop the deal in the final moment saying that Arsenal have become title contenders following the signing of Ozil.

“We know Arsenal tried to get Demba Ba before they signed Mesut Ozil. Wenger must have realised he needed another forward. When you look at it in the cold light of day – they got caught out. Maybe they felt they could bring in a forward and it didn’t work for them. When you look at it now, Giroud has to stay fit until January. I can’t see any way that they won’t sign somebody else, whether that’s on loan or permanently, in January. Wenger will have to do that,” said Nigel Winterburn about Arsenal’s title chances this campaign.

BENZEMA DELIGHTED

French striker Karim Benzema has said that he is delighted to be working with French legend Zinedine Zidane, who has joined the club as an assistant coach to manager Carlo Ancelotti. The former Chelsea, AC Milan, and PSG manager was appointed as the replacement for José Mourinho. He brought in most of his staff from PSG, but one surprise addition has been former Real Madrid legend Zidane, who has joined the club as part of the coaching staff. He is expected to become a manager in the future, but for now, he will be a part of the coaching team.

Benzema has said that Zidane as someone who he regards as an idol, and he is delighted more than anyone else to be working alongside him. In his playing days, Zidane was regarded as the best midfielder in the last two decades. He represented the likes of Juventus and Real Madrid, while he was also the best player for the French national team bar none. He managed to win several major trophies including the Champions league and la Liga titles in his club career, while he also lifted the World Cup and European championships with the French national team.

Benzema is now entering into his fifth year at the club and hopes to win the FIFA Ballon d’Or award one day.

“He’s been my role model since I was a child. He’s a great player. It’s good for the team to have someone like him on the bench. He’s friendly with the players and has a lot of experience. It’s on my mind. Everyday I work to win it. It’s the best club. I came to work and I’m really pleased to be here. The best thing is that I dreamed of it since I was little. Now I’m a footballer and I’m living my dream,” said Benzema.

BENZEMA MOVING ON?

Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema has been linked with a move away from the club after failing to hit the heights of last season in terms of goals. Madrid manager José Mourinho recently said that the lack of support for Cristiano Ronaldo has been one of the main reasons for the team not being able to challenge on the domestic front with Barcelona. Ronaldo has more or less managed to score the same number of goals last season, but strikers like Karim Benzema and Gonzalo Higuain have been disappointing in terms of goalscoring records. Despite this, the French international does not want to leave the Santiago Bernabeu.

He has said through his agent Karim Djaziri that he intends to stay at the Spanish club. A recent comment by Real Madrid general manager Jose Angel Sanchez appeared to confirm the same. Higuain is expected to be sold in the summer rather than Benzema. The French international is a £ 35 million signing from Lyon. He did not manage to make a huge impact in his first season at the club, but since then he has been one of the best players at the club. The 25-year-old has two more years left on his contract, but it is understood that Madrid are willing to open negotiations.

“In a big club like Real Madrid, it is assumed there is space for two or three high-level No.9s. It was Benzema and Higuain. Higuain will go, Benzema will stay, and two others will arrive. As I have already said on numerous occasions, and I will never get tired of repeating it, my client will not be leaving Madrid. (Jose) Mourinho’s potential departure does not change anything. A transfer is out of the question,” said Benzema’s agent. Thus, he has also dispelled rumours that Benzema will follow Mourinho out of the club.

SEMI FINALS

The Real Madrid manager José Mourinho managed to put behind the disappointing performances in the league campaign to at least qualify for the semi-final of the Copa del Rey after the 2-0 victory over Valencia. Real Madrid have been extremely poor in the league this season, and they have already fallen 15 points behind the leaders Barcelona in the table. There have been a lot of stories of the unrest within the dressing room, but Mourinho has made it clear that he would like to 10th European trophy for the Spanish club before leaving. The return leg between the two clubs will be taking place in a week’s time.

The French striker Karim Benzema opened the scoring after just 37 min on the clock. Karim Benzema was one of the best strikers for the club last season, but he has suffered from a poor run of form this time around. He has managed to score just five goals in 16 appearances for the club in all competitions. As a result, they have been extremely reliant on the goals from the Portuguese attacker Cristiano Ronaldo, which has been one of the reasons for their failing this season. Yet, Benzema demonstrated his importance to the team with the goal. The own goal from Guardado in the second half was enough to seal the victory.

This victory gives Real Madrid a commanding position going into the second leg. They will be having a match against Valencia once again in between. This match will be taking place in the league. Valencia will be looking for an immediate revenge from the match, which will also help their chances of moving up the table. The club are several points away from challenging for the top four position, which will provide Champions league football next season.

BENZEMA RULED OUT

Real Madrid have been struggling in the league this season and they have been dealt another blow with the injury to the star striker Karim Benzema, who will be left out of the squad that will face Espanyol during the weekend. Real Madrid have fallen 11 points behind the leaders Barcelona in the la Liga table, which means that they have started focusing their attention on other cup competitions. Real Madrid have already won the Copa del Rey under the guidance of José Mourinho, but they will face an uphill task in the second leg of the last 16 round against Celta de Vigo after the 1-1 draw.

Even though the second leg is at the Santiago Bernabeu, the last-minute goal from Cristiano Ronaldo will prove to be extremely crucial in a tie. More than the match, the disappointment would be with the injury news for Karim Benzema. The Frenchman has been having a difficult time with injuries this season. This time, he has suffered an ankle injury in the second half. He suffered the injury under contract from no one and this leaves Real Madrid short of players up front for the coming league matches. They will face Espanyol during the weekend. Even though Espanyol are in a bad run of form, they will certainly pose a difficult proposition according to Mourinho.

“I think it was an ankle problem, but I have not thought about it yet. Varane was a champion because he got injured and stayed on the pitch. He did more injured than some who were not injured. He did his work as a centre-forward because he could not sprint and play as a defender. Leaving Morata out was my decision. That is why I am here, to make decisions. Sometimes they go well, sometimes badly,” said Mourinho.

BENZEMA HAILS JOSE

The Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema has hailed the influence of the manager José Mourinho following the impressive run of form he has shown in the last few seasons. The French striker Karim Benzema was often criticised for not being at his best since his £ 35 million move from Lyon in 2009. However, under the guidance of José Mourinho, he has become one of the best strikers in the Real Madrid squad. He has been able to keep out the Argentine striker Gonzalo Higuain on a regular basis. The France striker has said that he owes a lot of his current form to the manager José Mourinho.

Karim Benzema has said that he is someone who has experienced a lot of ups and downs during his Real Madrid career, but has come out stronger in each and every one of them. He has said that the pressure of playing for a club like Real Madrid makes any player stronger. Benzema has also said that the club has forgotten the memories of the painful defeat against Bayern Munich on penalties in the Champions league semi-final. Real Madrid were hoping to make it into the final and win the 10th European crown, but they were denied by the German club Bayern Munich.

“The coach made me work a lot on the mental part of my game. I am now stronger in this respect. I have had many ups and downs since I arrived in Madrid, but I am still here. Mourinho is a great coach, and he is supporting me. Pressure has been part of my life since I was at Lyon, though it is more intense here because this is the best club in the world. I do not take the pressure into the game with me, otherwise I would not be able to play at all. I get rid of it by chatting with my little brother,” said Karim Benzema.
