KARIM BENZEMA TO GET NEW DEAL

Real Madrid are set to hand striker KarimBenzema a new deal for his efforts in helping the team to yet another Champions League title.


The French star netted 17 times in all competitions last term as Real did a double, lifting the La Liga title despite last minute heated chase from Barcelona.

The Spanish side is reportedly set to land AS Monaco teenage star KylianMbappe this summer in a world record deal. There are fears that the club would sell of the player with Arsenal and a few other top sides are named interested employers.

Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema has admitted that he needs to improve if he wants to score more goals with Real Madrid.


Despite the fact that he has recently scored two goals to help the Spanish team draw with Borussia Dortmund, the French international has come under intense criticisms for his form this season.

Karim Benzema said that he is aware of the critics and that he is working hard in order to improve. He admitted that he has not been consistent since the start of the season and that he wants things to change. David Beckham has stated that former France midfielder Zinedine Zidane is the best manager for Real Madrid.


He said that the French manager has a thorough knowledge of the club during his time playing for the club and that he is the right person in the right place.

David Beckham believes that Zinedine Zidane can have the same impact that Pep Guardiola had at Barcelona and he believes that the team is progressing under him.

The former England midfielder said that Zidane was a successful player and has won various trophies with different clubs. This places him in a position where he can understand players and know what they need.

KarimBenzema is not in the plans of Didier Deschamps

France hosted the UEFA Euro’s 2016 and the French national side was one of the favorites of winning the international competition as they had a mix of experience along with youngsters in the squad as well as having a number of highly rated players such as: Paul Pogba, Olivier Giroud, Antoine Griezmann and Patrice Evra.


Despite having a well-rounded squad, Didier Deschamps and his team failed to win the latest edition of the tournament and had to settle with a 2nd place finish as they lost to Portugal in the finals.

KarimBenzema could not participate in the 2016 edition of the Euro’s due to a scandal that he was involved in along with Mathew Valbuena where both of them had an issue with a sex tape.

The French striker of Real Madrid might had given France the final push that they needed in order to win the UEFA Euro’s 2016 but because of this scandal, he was not eligible to make it in.

He is now able to participate in the upcoming international competitions for France but it seems like the head coach of the French national side Didier Deschamps does not have KarimBenzema in his plans.

KARIM BENZEMA TO PLAY IN CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FINAL

Real Madrid centre forward, Karim Benzema, is returning to full fitness at just the right time for Real Madrid, who will play Atletico Madrid in the Champions League final on May 28 after moving past their semi-final opponents in Man City with a 1-0 aggregate.


Coach Zinedine Zidane was relieved to see the Frenchman come back from a hamstring problem and score in Sunday’s 3-2 triumph over Valencia. The victory kept Real Madrid just a point behind League leader Barcelona, with one game to go in the race for the title.

Zidane told Real Madrid’s website:

“He’s not been at 100 percent for a while. We’ve seen that it wasn’t easy for him physically.

“(Against Valencia) he coped with it well and without any problems. We’ve got two games left. He’s getting better every day and he’s not feeling any discomfort from his last injury.”

The French striker has missed 15 games this season through injury but has still scored 28 goals in 34 games in all competitions — close to his record of 31 goals in the 2011-12 campaign, the year Real last won La Liga. The 28-year-old has found the back of the net in 20 of his 34 appearances for Real in the 2015-16 campaign, scoring six more goals than last season. A string of underwhelming results have led to GuusHiddink being sacked

GuusHiddink’s reign in charge of the Dutch national football team lasted for 1 year and 3 months as he took charge of the national side on March of 2014 and it reached it’s end on June 2015.

When he signed his contract as the coach of Netherlands, the terms in this deal originally stated that Hiddink was going to be the manager of the national team at least until the 2016 Euro’s but his time at the helm did not survive as long due to a string of unsatisfying results.

With Louis van Gaal at the helm, Netherlands was able to make it into the semifinals of the 2014 as they overcame opponents such as: Mexico, Costa Rica, Spain, Chile and Australia before eventually being eliminated when facing off with Argentina.

Despite being knocked out in the semifinals by Argentina, it was still an impressive campaign for Louis van Gaal and his players. Things quickly began to take a downhill path after Louis van Gaal decided to step down from coaching the national side as he took charge of Manchester United.
